13 going on 30

Growing up is never easy, but you get to hold on to the memories that were, and look forward to the memories to come.

It's crazy how fast life changes, it's like you just wake up one day and realize you're not fifteen anymore.. going from being upset that you have an early curfew to wishing you could talk your parents in to making all the hard decisions for you. When you would do anything you could to get out of going to class to doing anything you can to be able to afford to go to class.

With growing up comes the reality that you are the person you always looked up to. You learn the responsibility of paying your own bills, making your own dinners, and having to wake yourself up every morning. As you get older you realize the rules that seemed so unfair at the time ended up doing nothing but helping you. We've all been grounded for having bad grades, coming home late, or talking back. Now that we're more mature we can realize that mamma really does know best. We didn't appreciate the punishments at the time, but now we wish we could have those instead of having to learn it the hard way. Through all the rules it was hard to see how much your parents did for you, when all they want for you is the best.

Needless to say, as annoying as growing up can be sometimes, we can't argue that it's an amazing learning experience, and we've had a lot of fun going through it.

Our Story.. Summed Up.

Did you ever have that feeling on the first day of your 7th grade Science class, when the last person you would want to see ends up being your lab parter? Who knew that lab partner would end up being the shoulder you cried on and the one that would finish your sentences.

Now that you know how it all started.. this is friendship as we know it.

It's been 8 years now, and here we are writing a friendship blog together to share what our journey has been and will continue to be; as sisters.. because best friends is an understatement. We're 20 years old and having the time of our lives. Yes, we've had our ups and downs but whether it's a laugh until you cry or cry until you laugh, we've always known we can count on each other to get through it. We always know exactly what is going on in the other's mind, and if you ask for one you get both. We laugh.. we laugh a lot.. we create more inside jokes in one week than most people do in a year.

We may both have the same color of hair, be the same height, and have the same taste in clothes.. but, no matter how many times we are asked - the answer is no, we are not blood related.. but, we'll take it as a compliment.

Now that you have a little taste of who we are, stay tuned because there's a lot more to come.
